"REIT'S"

Types and Categories
The topic of REIT's is a very large and broad topic.  As such we have divided the site into
various pages for ease of devouring the subject matter. As always we do NOT do a total
analysis for these REIT's on line---we believe that REIT's in general are better than High Yield
Savings Accounts, but you must do your research.

REIT Master List (Under Reconstruction)

REIT Defined and Short discussion

Specifically we deal with the following categories of REIT's
(Click on the category heading for a category company list instead of the larger
master list)

Retail

These companies own items such as free standing retail space, shopping malls or
strip malls.
_______

Residential/Apartment/Manufactured Home Parks

More often than not these are REIT's that hold apartment properties.  There are a
limited number of REIT's that own the land under manufactured homes.  These
REIT's may also offer limited services to residents of the park (such as limited
groceries or gasoline stations)
_______

Commercial/Industrial

These companies hold properties that would be leased to organizations that need
light or heavy manufacturing space
_______

Hotel/Motel

These of course are self explanatory--these companies hold hotels and motels of
any number of sizes and shapes.
_______

Financial and Mortgage

These companies typically provide financing for mortgages, bridge loans,
construction loans or any number of other financing arrangements.  They DO NOT
outright own real estate (except through possible foreclosures etc)
_______

These companies may own anything related to healthcare.  It could be something as
large as a hospital to something as small as a local doctor's office.

_______

As the category name implies these are exchange traded funds that invest in only
